Be Careful during Black Friday

Description

Black Friday is one of the most anticipated shopping events of the year, with many stores offering significant discounts on their products both in physical stores and online. It's the perfect opportunity to buy products you are looking forward to at more affordable prices. However, scammers often take advantage of the occasion to deceive consumers, especially using online tactics such as fake websites (phishing), fraudulent pages, as well as false promotions and non-existent discounts. To protect yourself against these and other scams, here are some precautions you can take before shopping online.

Always buy through official channels, download apps from official stores, type website/store addresses directly into your web browser, and engage only with verified social media profiles of the stores or brands. Don't click on links you receive in messages.

Make sure the website/store is trustworthy by searching online for customer reviews, especially on social media, consumer complaint sites, or consumer protection agencies. This research can help you evaluate the seller's and the company's reliability.

Prefer websites and stores you already know personally or those with positive recommendations. This reduces the risk of falling victim to fraud.
Before purchasing a product at a discount, check the item's price history. This can help you determine whether the ad is legitimate or a trick to scam you.

Finally, remember that caution and research are your best allies when shopping online. By following these tips, you’ll be better prepared to enjoy actual discounts and avoid falling into traps. If in doubt, don't buy!

Description
In the first scene, the phrase “Preparing for Black Friday?” appears. A girl seems excited as she browses through a website full of Black Friday discounts on her computer.

In the second scene, the girl is interested in a computer that is on sale on the website. Above her, a phrase appears: “Did you find a good deal?”
In the third scene, a scammer builds a fake Black Friday website using bricks on a table. It's the same website that the girl is viewing. The phrase “Be careful! It might be a scam!” appears.

In the fourth scene, the phrase at the top of the screen is now “Research prices and the seller's reputation before buying”. The girl notices that the price offered by the store she just visited is unusually low and that the buyer has bad reviews. Angry, she makes a thumb-down gesture.
