Do not trust strangers on the Internet!

Description

Social media, groups in messaging apps, online games – there are so many ways to interact and meet new people. However, you should take some precautions. There are fake profiles and people with bad intentions. When adding someone, make sure you know and trust them.

Parents must be especially careful when it comes to protecting children and instructing them about the online environment. Just as you tell your children not to talk to strangers on the street, you should also teach them the same behavior online. Tell them not to add or interact with people they do not know on the Internet. Talk to your children so they do not give their personal and family information to strangers, such as their full names and those of their parents, their home address, where they go to school, their parents’ workplace, etc. It is also important for children and adolescents to be aware of the dangers of sending pictures or videos at the request of strangers. Talk to your children and ask them to always let you know if a stranger threatens them or acts strangely. Also, remember to respect the age limit suggested by social networks.
